Take Surveys to get Free Stuff - Cash, Gift Cards, and MORE!
Start earning money and gift cards from home with my list of surveys to get free stuff that I actually use every month!
A penny for your thoughts? How about MORE than a penny? Sharing your opinions through surveys can earn you some free stuff like free cash, free gift cards, and free products. You won’t get rich taking surveys, but you might be surprised at what you can earn. A little time and effort can go a long way and the extra cash can help you meet your savings goals that much quicker. Plus, you can take surveys anywhere! At home, waiting at the doctor, on the train - might as well turn that waiting time into cash and gift cards. Read on to learn about some of my favorite survey panels that I use to earn free stuff, cash and gift cards in my spare time.
Survey Junkie
Sign up with Survey Junkie and earn points that you can then redeem for Bank Transfer, PayPal, or an eGift Card (Amazon, Walmart, Apple, Walmart, Target, Starbucks, Sephora, or Groupon). Cash out as soon as you hit 500 points which is the equivalent of $5. You’ll immediately earn 25 points for signing up, 25 for confirming your email, and yet another 50 for completing your profile, which puts you right on path to your first cash out. It has an app you can use as well, making it a convenient way to take surveys.
PaidViewpoint
Sign up for PaidViewpoint to take quick surveys and make a little extra money by sharing your thoughts and opinions about brands, products, and more. Their surveys are never very long (you know an approximate length of time before hand) and you always get paid - even for just a few seconds of your time. Build up your TraitScore to earn more and be invited to more surveys. They are ranked #1 on SurveyPolice too! You need a minimum of $15 to cash out the first time, but it drops down to just $5 the more active you are in the panel. Redeem for PayPal or eGift Cards (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, CVS/pharmacy, and Target). Download the app to take surveys on the go. This one happens to be my personal favorite.
Pinecone Research
Pinecone Research has been around for decades and has been highly ranked from the start. Its popularity has also made it a difficult panel to get into as they take their membership seriously. It has evolved over time, so if you knew the Pinecone of yesteryear, it has changed a bit. With the recent changes, you have more opportunities to take surveys, but there is a higher likelihood that you might not qualify. You’ll still earn points for any survey completion which you redeem for rewards. Rewards remain the same; you can redeem for PayPal, eGift Cards, or even browse their entire catalog of items that you can choose from. If you are between the ages of 18-24 apply here.
Ipsos I-Say
Sign up with Ipsos I-Say and complete your profile so that the surveys are geared towards you. Earn points with every survey, then redeem your points for your choice of eGift Cards (Roblox, Nintendo, Target, Walmart, Amazon, PayPal, or even a charity donation (Ipsos Foundation). Use their mobile app and take surveys on the go. This company has also been around a long time at partners with bigger brands.
Permission Research
Sign up for Permission Research for a quick $10 without doing anything! After you sign up, the software runs quietly in the background to anonymously collect internet usage data that helps companies understand online trends, keep it installed for atleast 7 days and you'll get your cash. It's an easy and stress free way to earn cash. Be sure to opt- in for surveys to get even more opportunities to earn extra money on top of what you'll already get after one week.
LifePoints
Sign up with LifePoints to complete surveys and earn rewards for sharing your feedback on products and brands. Redeem your points for cash via PayPal or Venmo, Amazon, TJ Maxx , or Macy’s Gift Cards, or by donating to a charity of your choosing (American Red Cross, UNICEF, Feeding America, American Cancer Society). It too has a user friendly app for on-the-go survey taking.
Toluna
Join the Toluna community and share opinions on products and services through online surveys, polls, and other activities. In return for your participation and feedback, you'll earn points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards, PayPal, or Tango e-gift cards. Access it on the computer or via their app. They really like those that have social media and you may have more opportunities as an influencer with them.
Product Report Card
When you sign up for Product Report Card, you’ll receive email invites to the surveys they think you’ll qualify for based on the profile information that you provided. Take the surveys for incentive and some may even lead to product testing. When your earnings reach the minimum of $25, you can redeem them for Amazon gift cards. It is one of the more popular panels for testing products and members love trying new things. Sometimes you’ll even get to keep the items you test.
Nielsen Computer & Mobile Panel
One of the most popular, and reputable survey companies out there is the Nielsen Computer & Mobile Panel. Nielsen has been around for ages and it's because they are generous in their pay! Several time now I have received an envelope with a few dollar bills in the mail to entice me to take their surveys! The two main ways to earn with them is to sign up and if accepted you download their app and let it run in the background of your phone for one month. The other way to earn money with them is to take their surveys which is usually about shopping, tv, internet usage and more.
E-poll
As an E-poll surveys member, whenever there is a survey that you qualify for, you’ll get an email invite. The surveys tend to be focused on the entertainment industry and are easy to complete - you’ll earn points for each survey. Cash your points in for PayPal, eGifts Cards (Amazon, Best Buy, Starbucks, Walmart), or a charity donation (St. Jude Children's Hospital, American Red Cross, Humane Society). I do want to note, surveys aren’t real frequent, so you tend to forget about it until you get an email, but it’s a tried-and-true panel that I have enjoyed.
YouGov
YouGov offers surveys on current events (like politics, government, economy) and the results are often shared with media outlets. You’ll get an email invitation when there’s a survey available. Your participation in these surveys will earn you points which you can then redeem for rewards such as cash (via direct deposit to your bank account) and eGift Cards (Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Gamestop).
Tellwut
Sign up for Tellwut, complete a profile for personalized survey invitations, and start accumulating points. These points can then be redeemed for rewards like Amazon Gift Cards or PayPal deposits. You can even create your own surveys to earn additional rewards.
QuickThoughts
Download the free QuickThoughts app on your mobile device (available on Google Play or the Apple App Store). Browse and take surveys on topics that you finding interesting like current events, TV shows, or products to earn rewards. When you have accumulated a $10 balance, you can redeem it for an Amazon or Apple gift card.
Esearch
The Esearch Panel offers invitation-only surveys, many of which often lead to product testing. Each survey you completely is individual paid via PayPal by the date noted on your survey invitation. It is one you don’t often thing about until you do get an invite, so I usually give it priority when I get one because they are a great panel to belong to.
SurveySavvy
SurveySavvy has been around for over 20 years and is still going strong. You’ll receive an email invite when there is a survey available and on the invite it will give you an idea of the time commitment involved as well as what you’ll be paid for it. Cashing out is old school - you’ll get a check sent to you via snail mail, so it takes a few weeks. You just need $1 to cash out, but you can let it accumulate until you have more.
This is just a quick round up of some of the panels I personally belong to and have had success. There are many out there and if you have time to expand and take on other survey panels, I would encourage you to do so. I highly suggest that you become familiar with TrustPilot and SurveyPolice as they often have valuable user submitted information and reviews. In other words, it will help you to know if it’s worth your time or not.
As I mentioned, you won’t get rich quick, but there’s so much you CAN achieve by taking surveys. Whether you’re using the money for your holiday shopping, using it to splurge on fun things for the family, or treating yourself to a little “me time” pampering - set your goal and it’ll add to the excitement when you cash out.
If you think you don’t have the time, you might consider some of the panels that have free stuff apps. They are my favorite because I can earn while I’m sitting in that crazy school pick up line. I survey in waiting rooms and even at my kiddo’s practice too. That’s what works best for me. Luckily, alot of the companies above have their own apps too or are pretty easy to do by phone.
Have fun and good luck on your surveying journey!
