Although these items aren't advertised, they can still be scanned and purchased for a penny if they remain on the shelves. Employees are supposed to remove these items from the store when they get this list but you can usually grab a few before they get a chance to and they have to honor the price!

Dollar General penny items aren't in a specific aisle. They're deeply discounted clearance or seasonal products that have been marked for removal but weren't pulled quickly enough. Here's where shoppers typically find them:

  • Clearance Aisles & Endcaps: Stop by the seasonal sections, like holiday decor, summer toys, etc.
  • Top Shelves Above Regular Stock: Look for leftover clearance often pushed up high.
  • Bottom Shelves Under Full-Price Items: Check for places they might have gotten tucked away.
  • Behind or Between Current Items: Keep your eyes peeled for remnants of old seasonal displays.
