Dollar General penny items are products marked down to just $0.01. These items are usually getting discontinued, seasonal, or overstocked merchandise that Dollar General wants to clear from its inventory. Although these items aren't advertised, they can still be scanned and purchased for a penny if they remain on the shelves. Employees are supposed to remove these items from the store when they get this list but you can usually grab a few before they get a chance to and they have to honor the price!

Dollar General penny items aren't in a specific aisle. They're deeply discounted clearance or seasonal products that have been marked for removal but weren't pulled quickly enough. Here's where shoppers typically find them:
