Family Fun With Wobbly Worm + Video

Wobbly Worm: Toy Review

Looking for a FUN rainy day activity or just a FUN game to get the children up and active? Well, Wobbly Worm is your solution! Wobbly Worm by Spin Master, is this fun, wiggly game that gets the children up and moving.

The objectives of the game are simple: Get all your rings around Wobbly’s head and have fun! This interactive game is designed for children ages 3 to 6. There are three levels of difficulty: easy, medium and hard.

The Wobbly Worm game includes:
  • A Wobbly Worm Head
  • Game Instructions
  • An apple base
  • Four (4) green tubes
  • Four (4) green connectors
  • Three sets of colored rings in three different sizes

Wobbly Worm is Easy to set up!  Simply attach a connector to the base, then a tube and repeat until you reach the top where Wobbly’s head is placed. There is some adult assistance required as the two C batteries needed a screwdriver to open the battery covers.

After the batteries are placed into the back of the apple base, the game is ready to be assembled. My nieces easily built Wobbly without looking at the instructions. It was so easy to build. It took them only a few seconds and they took turns adding the pieces. It was great teamwork!

There are three easy adjustable levels to make Wobbly Worm challenging for older children and shorter for smaller children.
  • Easy- Use one or two tubes
  • Medium- Use three tubes
  • Hard- Use all four tubes

As a former educator, I’m always looking for fun ways to get my nieces active. Wobbly Worm promotes hand-eye coordination, social development skills and gross motor skills as children are jumping and tossing rings. My nieces enjoyed tossing the rings and playing with Wobbly. I even enjoyed playing with them! We adjusted Wobbly to the easiest level to encourage the toddlers to play. This ended up being a flop because somebody wanted to hug and kiss Wobbly!

The older girls created a more challenging version as they took turns tossing all the small rings at once. Then all the large rings to see if it was easier to toss the rings by size, instead of color. The larger rings are indeed easier. We also timed the girls to see how many rings they could get around Wobbly’s head in ten seconds.

Overall, the bright, Wobbly Worm entertained the girls for quite a while. I loved seeing their smiles as they landed rings and took turns. I would recommend this game to anybody who likes to have fun!

My final thoughts on this games is that for less than $20 this game is great for so many reasons. Not only does Wobbly Worm promote hand-eye coordination, social development skills and gross motor skills as children are jumping and tossing rings, it's really fun to play! I love how the girls took turns and created their own version of a more challenging way to play Wobbly Worm!

Thank you, Spin Master, for sponsoring this video and getting my children active while having fun!
