Chuck E. Cheese's Files for Bankruptcy

The kids play and pizza place might be closing it's doors.

Coronavirus claimed another victim - this time Chuck E. Cheese's filed for bankruptcy. While many Chuck E Cheese's have begun reopening around the country, parents are hesitant to bring the children to play and eat. The Coronavirus hurt the popular children play and pizza restaurant during the mandatory shutdowns.

“The Chapter 11 process will allow us to strengthen our financial structure as we recover from what has undoubtedly been the most challenging event in our company’s history,” CEO David McKillips said in a prepared statement, according to the AP.

Will Chuck E. Cheese's come out stronger? Will another company buy them? Will they close the doors permanently? Only time will tell but it's not looking good. I suggest using your Chuck E Cheese gift cards and tokens sooner rather than later, as bankruptcy routinely brings closures of many locations regardless if they survive.
