DIY Eclipse Viewer

Hurry! Make your own Solar Eclipse viewer with everyday, household items in just a few minutes!



Supplies Need:

  • Empty Cereal Box
  • Paper
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Marker or Pen

Directions:

1. Trace the bottom of your box onto the piece of paper and cut it out.
2. Place the white cut out into the bottom of the box
3. Close your cereal box and cut two square on the top of the box. One on the left side of the box and one on the right side of the box.
4. Close the remaining part the box and tape it shut.
5. Take aluminum foil and cover one of the squares you just cut. Tape the foil all around. ( You don't want it to fall off).
6. Pierce a small hole into the foil.
7. With your back to the eclipse, view through the opening without the foil and enjoy.
