| I've tried pine litter before and it was a nightmare. It stuck to my cats paws in ways that looked like it could even be painful and got dragged all over my apartment. If you don't want to use clay, I would recommend using the recycled cat litter's made for old newspapers. |

| Thanks for the warning about pine. I use the Fresh Step and like it. For a toy, get a ping pong ball and drop it in a dry bathtub. Watch the cat try to get the ball out. You don't want a golf ball as it will make too much noise if cat plays at night. |
