One of the tried and true best ways to score free baby stuff in 2024 is by signing up for baby registries. While the specific freebies for kids and moms may vary depending on the retailer and current promotions, here are some common examples of what you can expect to receive:

Free Baby Stuff: My favorite baby registry freebies are from Amazon. I’ve received free baby stuff after making an Amazon baby registry when I was pregnant with all three of my kids. No two Amazon baby sample boxes are the same. The one I requested 3 years ago was completely different than this one but equally amazing - they change up the stock. Generally though you can expect to receive Pampers and Huggies diapers samples, free Dr. Brown bottles, even free baby clothes samples may be part of your free baby sample box. Tip: You do need to spend $10 off your registry to unlock the free Amazon sample box but you can purchase anything – it does not even have to be baby related. I added a face cream I needed to buy anyways and added it to my registry and bought it to qualify.

Free Post-Partum Box: A sample box made just for new moms! When you sign up for the Walmart Baby Registry Welcome Box you will receive an email opt-in for the post-partum care box when you enter your 3rd trimester.

Tip: Consider also signing up for a Walmart+ annual membership for just $49 too to score free shipping, no minimum plus a ton of other perks like rebate rewards. Baby formula is a significant expense for parents during the first year of a baby's life. Luckily, free baby formula samples are easy to get and are important for a few reasons:
 

• Saves Money: Baby formula can make a big dent in your pocket.Thankfully formula companies mail coupon checks along with the free samples to help lessen the financial burden of buying formula. These coupon checks can be used at most retailed and can be for up to $10 off per formula container.
   
• Convenience: Free samples can be especially beneficial in situations when you run out of formula unexpectedly or when they are traveling and need a quick supply. • Gerber: The Gerber Baby Nutrition Kit provides free formula samples, coupons, and informational materials. You can request this kit by calling Gerber's Parent Resource Center or signing up on their website.
   
• a2 Platinum Infant Formula: Score a free can of a2 Platinum infant formula after rebate offer. This is a $20 value.
   
• Local Hospitals: Ask your hospital for formula before leaving the hospital! If stock is plentiful nurses are happy to fill a new moms bag with formula to take home!

Diaper coupons can be found in most grocery store and drugstore apps as well as on Amazon and on the Target Circle sections of the app. Clip those digital coupons and use them when you shop in-store or online.

• Amazon not only has competitive pricing and digital coupons, but they also rival Target with their own diaper promotions. Even better, if you utilize subscribe & save you can save up to another 15% off - which really adds the savings up! You have full control over how often you want a diaper deliver and can cancel at any time too.
   
• Walmart is a great place to buy diapers as they carry not only name brands but their own, cheaper diaper brand called Parent's Choice that you can scoop up for as low as $4.98 a pack! Walmart+ members can also utilize Walmart Rewards to earn store cash when purchasing qualifying items and use it on future purchases.

Free Breast Feeding Samples

Aeroflow is a healthcare supply company that works with insurance companies to provide expecting and new moms completely free breast pumps and supplies. Aeroflow makes the process seamless and efficient, just fill out their form and choose your brand new breast pump - worth $100s of dollars. Not only do they provide a breast pump but they will send you breast pads, storage bags and replacement parts. They may even get you approved for a free pregnancy support band, a popular device for pregnant moms experiencing lower back pain and round ligament discomfort.

Additionally I've received breastfeeding supplies from the free goodie bags provided by Amazon, Target and Walmart for making a baby registry. Samples have included breast bads, milk storage bags, nipple cream and milk producing supplements. Also, don't forget to ask the nurses and lactation specialists at the hospital for stuff to take home, they are always happy to help a new mom.

Free Baby Food, Sales & Coupons

Baby food samples and coupons can be helpful for any family on a tight budget. There are several money-saving offers direct from manufacturers as well as stores. If you have a phone, you have free money saving coupons you can access! Baby food coupons can be found in most grocery stores and drugstore apps through store loyalty programs. Clip those digital coupons and use them when you shop in-store or online.

With each of my pregnancies, I found that family and friends love offering their hand-me-down baby clothes and gear.  It's a great way to get gently used, and sometimes brand-new baby clothes for free. This lets you save money for other essentials, plus what you don't want you could always donate.

Buying secondhand at local thrift stores or online consignment shops like Ebay can save you a significant amount of money. Facebook is another great place to find free baby clothes and gear with their marketplace listings. Additionally, sites like FreeCycle, OfferUp and Swappa regularly have listings for free or almost-free baby items. Make sure to inspect any baby freebies you pick up used for any weak or damaged parts.
