Claim Money in a New $33 million Mitsubishi class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it worked with other companies to raise cathode ray tube (CRT) costs. The settlement benefits consumers who purchased a CRT product (CRT television or CRT computer monitor - one of those BIG tube tv/monitors popular in the 90's) from a retailer other than the manufacturer between March 1, 1995, and Nov. 25, 2007. Do I Qualify?
If you bought one of those big bulky tube tvs or monitors from a retailer other than the manufacturer between March 1, 1995, and Nov. 25, 2007 you may qualify! They were popular in the 90's and pretty unavoidable if you needed one so it's very likely you qualify!
States covered in the settlement are: Arizona, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
How Much will I Receive?
Under the terms of the Mitsubishi CRT settlement, class members can receive a proportional cash payment based on the number of eligible products purchased. Exact payments will vary, but claimants are guaranteed to receive a minimum payment of at least $10.
Documentation of CRT purchases may be required to validate claims but is not required to be submitted with claim forms. Just my non-legal opinion, but I don't know anyone that keeps receipts that long unless you have one from a business,so if you lost yours but you for sure bought one of these products between 1995-2007 you should def. consider submitting a claim.
