| A bookplate is a piece of paper or a sticker etc, that you put on the inside of a book cover. It usually has the name of the book 'owner' and some design or scrolls to look good, and leave room for people to write an inscription. Our grandparents would have seen them allot, because it was common practice to write a message inside the book cover when you gave it to someone. |
