It's definetely true guys!
I live in the inner-east of Melbourne, and there's quite a few 7-11's near us, one of them being just 200m away!
Every time there's huge queues! The whole road was blocked with even cars waiting to get into 7-11!
If you're actually looking to get one, go early, and also go to one where it's NOT near schools (school kids usually clean out the slurpees very quickly!) - the machines usually have to be rested because it's been used like crazy and the mixture is too melted!
