Topic: Coupon Savings Posted: May/04/2008 at 8:50pm |
I thought it would be fun (and encouraging) to share what we saved in coupons for the week or the month.
Since Tuesday I have saved app. 57.51 by using coupons!
(this isn't counting what I have forgotten about.)

Well, I know this may not sound too impressive to some people but to me it is. When I went shopping at my local store here this Saturday, I saved over 10.00 in coupons! This is including 3 free coupons that I had! And to top that off, there were some pretty good deals considering the high prices such as: strawberries- 0.99 cents, tomatoes- 0.69 cents lb, country crock butter 2lb, 13oz- 1.99, JIF peanut butter- 0.99 cents, a dozen large eggs- 1.49 (instead of 2.05), and I am unsure if the milk was a good price but it was 2.99 a gallon and that is usually the price. Coupons are the best!

Anything saved is great. I am happy when I can save a dollar! I wish I could find Jif for 99 cents. I have some coupons for it.

I agree with you BigKCfan. I went to my local food city yesterday and I saved a total of over 27.00 with my coupons and using my plus card. I was so excited to get this much off. grocerys are really starting to go up. Has anybody else noticed. It may only be a few cents here and there but it adds up. Does anybody know how often ou can email companys and request coupons. The contact companys has been so great for me. I have been emailing them for days and everyday I get loads of coupons. I love it!!!

Yes, you are right, anything saved is great! I know, when I saw that it was 0.99 cents, I had to grab it even though I wasn't yet finished w/ the one I have. And I also had a 0.35 off coupon so it was 0.64 cents! Great price!

I find it really hard to believe that people are saving that much using grocery coupons. Last week I saved $15 on a $320 grocery order. That hardly seems worth all the time I spend clipping, sorting, and organizing.

I was thinking of more than just grocerys. I was talking any coupons like cleaning supplies, dog foods, etc.
15.00 saved is still 15 dollars in your pocket.
One of the deals I got was wal greens has aquafresh for 1.99 with their coupon then I had a coupon so I got it for 1.00. I bought 2 then the shave gel with their coupon 1.99 then with my coupon 1.00 I paid 99 cents for it. I had a $ coupon for purell and they had an instore special for 1.49 so I got it for 49 cents. I am learning to "listen" to you guys and also to shop around.
Anyone got any advice on what they do.

i buy the smallest package available so i get the best deal when i use a coupon - i do not use coupons that require me to buy multiple items unless it is a product that i regularly use. i try to use all my coupons at the 2 stores in my area that double coupons ... that makes the biggest impact - last shopping trip i saved $18 and that gave my food money for later in the month -
